John Parkinson is Head of Satellite Programmes for Lockheed Martin Space, UK. In this capacity, he is responsible for the development, deployment and operations of strategic and tactical communications satellite programme opportunities with the United Kingdom (UK) Government and commercial customers on behalf of Lockheed Martin Space, UK. He brings 24+ years of aerospace, military and leadership experience to the mission.
John has held leadership positions in Lockheed Martin, SES, Airbus Defence & Space, and was the former MD of SES Defence UK. John also served in the Royal Navy Submarine Service which included close cooperation with allied nations and NATO, for global missions.
John holds multiple “masters-level” senior leadership qualifications including an Executive MBA, BEng(hons) degree, is a “Chartered Manager” and “fellow” of the Chartered Manager Institution (CMI).
